Hellooooo Mr. President!!!!

We were lucky today! We were able to watch Air Force One land in Columbus! It was a really neat experience for us!!!!

There were only a handful of people there (I expected tons!) and our clan (we took a few friends with us) were the only ones waving to the plane. I like to think that he was looking out the window and our click was able to wave him in!!!

Have a peek....

Is that a Talbot I see?

It is no secret that my husband is madly in love with the game of baseball. But the cost of seeing a "real" game is just too much for us. I caught a Groupon a few months back for a Clippers game. $10 for 2 reserved seats.

Kevin wanted to see Mitch Talbot, and he did!

A little test of Faith

The Missionaries were over one day last week and they wanted to have a lesson on faith. One of them said "Abby, would you like to volunteer for our lesson on faith?"
Abby said "Sure, my middle name is Faith!" And we all had a giggle because her middle name really is Faith.

So the lesson involved a burning tea bag in her hand and she had to have the faith that it was going to get hot and uncomfortable, but it if she would wait it out, she would see that the tea bag would float off BEFORE the actual fire met her skin.

She didnt move and it did float away before it got to her hand.

Of course she need to have Daddy try it too!

Hi-Ho, Hi-Ho to Kirtland we a go!

We went to Kirtland. I am not sure what I was expecting, but I felt let down. It was very nice. Very well kept and full of beautiful items. I just couldn't feel the Spirit. I just couldnt "see" the times.

I am hoping to go back without the kiddos and see if I can "feel it" then.

But, I did have a great time photographing while I was there!

Here are some pictures for your viewing pleasure.

Fun Food.

I have been trying to spend a little bit more time in the kitchen the last few days.

So I put Angel Food cake, strawberries and bananas on a tooth pick and drizzled chocolate over them.

My poor womans double boiler :) Grannies pot and a glass bowl :D

I put them on a foam plate and put the tooth pick through the plate so they would stand to let the chocolate cool :)

And to make use of the berry tips (there are still tooth picks in them)

Bread. I love bread. Yummy, yummy bread.

My FlyLady sink.

So I followed the FlyLady Shiney Sink method to see if I could get a nice shiney sink that would make me feel better about my kitchen.

I took pics of my sink at its most dirty. I usually just wipe it down with soap and water after I am done with the dishes.

I didnt feel any better, but here are some pics...you be the judge.
Oh and this process took about 2 hours total.

I mean certainly my sink is cleaner, but simply because it is in fact clean. I dont think all the work was needed and today I cant even tell I put all that work into it :(

Or.Gan. Ize.

So, we moved. And then we moved back. Turns out the house that we were moving to was total crap. So, when you take all of your things out of your home and then leave with them for an hour and then come back and unload it all in about 45 minutes time you get left with chaos.

So I took advantage of it. With a little prompting and some gentle guiding.

I took our bunk beds and turned them into a loft bed :) I didnt buy anything or add anything new. Believe it or not all of these things were already hiding in the pile o' junk.

I have no idea what to do with this stinkin' T.V.!

No before shot of the Fridge, but here is the after :)
