Squeeky clean!

I have offically made my own goats milk soap and shampoo bar! I have been trying to get away from the use of plastic, consumerism and waste! So Kevin and I decided to attempt our own soap and shampoo!

Everything came out great!!!!! We could not be more satisfied! I added herbs and exfoliants to the goats milk soap (which is used for hand, body and face) and the shampoo bar is just plian.

I found that the shampoo bar worked great for the boys in the home, since they have little hair. But for us girls it left the too clean!!!! Our hair was so super squeeky clean! We must have some form of conditioner! So I followed the advice of one of the moms on a local AP message board and went for the apple cider vinegar rinse. Smells awful while in the shower, but doesnt leave a smell after you rinse it out, and it worked great! And it is super cheap and all natural!

I purchased my supplies from www.organic-creations.com and I can NOT say enough good things! The shipping is a little high, but the products are amazing!

The soaps come in large blocks and you have to cut them down and melt them.
Some use a heat safe plastic bag for melting, but since we are trying to get away from the use of plastic, I opted for a mason jar. It worked pretty well.
